B A R E: My 5 Winter Tunes & Visual Moods
Location: Everywhere
About: The winter months often make me feel quite melancholic and wistful but I also find it to be the ideal months to reflect on past mistakes as well as to reminisce good old times. I tend to listen to songs that evoke different kinds of emotions but at the end of any week, I also enjoy some good pick-me up songs to sooth my mind and heart. I also attached a couple of random photos that I took, which I thought went along with theme of the songs.
1.) Harlem River - Kevin Morby
"In my pearl and my diamond shoe
I climbed a cloud, now i stole the moon
Harlem River, all because of you"
"Into the River Tweed", 2018
2.) Sparring Partner - Paolo Conte
Paolo Conte is one of my favourite Italian artists.
I love this song particularly because of its melody - it's uncomplicated but emotive
as it captures how one may feel towards a friend or a partner during tough times...
"My Bike and Lover", 2017
3.) Time Moves Slow - BADBADNOTGOOD
"I found you at the window again
Looking out, watching the leaves falling in
And it was something like a dream"
"Get Dizzy in Paris", 2017
4.) Consequence - The Notwist
"Fail with consequence
Lose with eloquence
And smile"
"Sleepless Nights in Sabina", 2019
5.) Swingin' Spathiphyllums - Mort Garson
Mort Garson is a legend to me.
His records are the best pick-me-up tunes especially when you don't want anything lyrical. His tunes are out of this world.
Just listen to one of his songs to get what I mean...
"Present Day of Green & Greco", 2017
Not the merriest post for the Christmas cheers but Merry Christmas everybody x
