R A D: Amsterdam's Ultimate Pink Restaurant

About: I don't know how many of you guys really follow this blog (it's not that difficult, I only have 2 posts :P) but I was in Amsterdam about a year ago and stayed there for a good month with the boyfriend. During my time there, I explored this little city - wall to wall! 

Just about a week ago, as I was decluttering my laptop space I realised I have this folder called 'to blog' and I found a dozen of these photos! I still cannot believe how truly pink this place was. It was so me! The place is about 25-30 min by bicycle from Amsterdam Centraal and it would definitely be a lot more accessible if you go there by bike rather than by tram/train. 

As you can see, it's safe to assume that who ever planned out this place is enamoured of the colour pink (millennial pink to be exact!) and the pink ladies such as myself cannot complain about it! The velvet textiles on the seatings were also very lush and the carpet has lobster and chicken prints on them (the only meat they serve!). This place reminded me of Sketch The Gallery in London - it's like the hybrid of Elan cafe and Sketch. I LOVE THIS PLACE and would totally come back 💓

FOOD. FOOD. FOOOOD! 

I always blabber to my friends how pretty looking restaurants somehow make you you pay an 'entrance fee' with their food as portions tend to be small and very mediocre for the price you pay (but hey at least the presentation is instagram perfect!). But MAMA KELLY isn't one of those places - yes it's not budget restaurant but for the venue and food (quality and size) - the prices are reasonable. We ordered Oriental Chicken which was sooo juicy, you can really tell that it was done exquisitely while the lobster was just as meaty as the chicken. We got 1/2 Thermidor Lobster that screamed hollandaise sauce and guyere cheese! The dishes are simple but the good kind of simple - moreish simple 🙏

TOP: Black Velvet Corset Top with Swarovskis by Pedro Del Hierro. I get asked a lot about this top and where I got it. Del Hierro is a Spanish fashion house and quite popular in Madrid for the high-quality of their garments - which I can verify! as the lining of this corset is 100% silk and it's a v-good thing because corsets are designed to be tight around your body so soft-lining goes a long way! (I also have 2 blazers from this brand and their fits are perfect). I bought this top in 2015 from an online-luxury shop called Avenue 32, which unfortunately shut down in 2016. 

PANTS: Vintage Mom Jeans which I got from some vintage kilo-store in Amsterdam.
